Just how hard is it to learn a musical instrument?
The Community Music Center welcomes Boom Arts' production
TUNDE’S TRUMPET
The West Coast premiere of a puppet musical for kids & families about making music and keeping your eye on the prize
Community Music Center August 2, 3, & 4
Don't miss what the Willamette Week describes as:
“A wild array of funky puppets annoy, cajole and distract a talented 10-year-old trumpet player in this short, jazzy kids production from Boom Arts. Tunde (Blake Stone) has the heart to become a true musician, but first he must vanquish five challenges, including frustration and jealousy, in order to reach his potential. Powerful singer and storyteller Ithica Tell and live trumpeter Jon Roberts help anchor the can-do story, while puppets cleverly crafted from old piano keys, bungee cords and bedsheets charm grade-school-agedviewers.”
Tunde's Trumpet is best for kids ages 5-15 and lasts about 1 hour. Performances dates & times are:
