New Classes at CMC

• Cantemos Together - Bilingual English/Spanish family music time with kids age 5 and under.

• It’s a Small World - Early childhood exploration of music from many different lands.

• Drums & Percussion Planet - Looking to play some drums? Come jam! (Ages 5 -10)

• Fiddle Tunes and Techniques / Francis Street Fiddlers - Youth or adult, let your violin fingers dance.

• World Percussion Ensemble for ages 11 & up - everyone has a part to play.

• Free Range Music (all ages) - Don’t be chicken when it comes to being creative! This popular new program joins 3-4 students with similar musical interests and goals with a professional coach who becomes part of the ensemble, exploring and creating repertoire while developing skills. Styles include: Jazz, Latin, Classical Crossover, Pop Crossover, Folk, Blues, Andean, Soul, Mariachi, Afro-Pop, Irish, Old Time, Bossa, Swing, Bluegrass, Klezmer, Balkan, Sephardic, Singer-Songwriter, Experimental, Gospel, Alternative, and more. Fun fact: CMC instructors work professionally in all these genres!

• Private lesson program for youth and teens is adding drums, Jazz piano, koto (Japanese harp), guitar (including Latin), trumpet (including Jazz and Mariachi), and Mariachi violin.

• Theory Lab / Theory and Practice - Intermediate and advanced theory (youth, teens, and adults).

• Beatles on Piano - Group lessons for adults and teens.

• Group Voice Lessons - Technique for adults and teens.

• Intro to Improvisation & Playing by Ear - Get off the page and into new horizons (adults & teens).

• Jazz Ensemble & Jazz Theory - It doesn’t matter what instrument you play―if you are a teen or adult, these are for you.
