Our September Session has an easy way for adults to get into music!
Wondering which instrument to choose, or not sure about making the commitment to lessons? Here's a low-impact, low-cost way to give it a try. Hurry to register, though, because classes start the week of September 8! Call 503-823-3177 or register online using one of the links below. Need an instrument, too? No problem! Just let us know when you register.

School-Year Registration is On!
Now is the time to fill your Fall with music
CMC is now taking registrations for all school year classes and lessons*, which begin the week of September 29. We've got great activities for all ages - children 6 months of age to adults over 60!
If you haven't yet enrolled, see our online catalog for full details, and give us a call at 503-823-3177, or register online at www.portlandparks.org.
* Note: Continuing students must register for the 2014-15 school year in order to keep a spot in a class or lesson (there is no automatic rollover to fall term). Private lesson pre-registration forms need to be turned in by Sep. 8 to be given priority ahead of new students.
Your Site for Free and Low-Cost Concerts
The Community Music Center is host to hundreds of events yearly, all published on our online calendar of events, Catch a recital in the lovely acoustics of our concert hall, and then hang out afterwards at one of the hip places nearby on Gladstone, Powell or Division to make it an evening.
