Music Skills Class Instructor
Description: The Community Music Center has an opening for Music Skills Class Instructor on Thursdays during the 2014-15 school year. The Music Skills Class is a once-a-week non-instrumental youth activity that teaches ear training, rhythm training, note reading and other fundamentals in music theory, utilizing Orff, Kodaly, Dalcroze, or similar pedagogy. Training and experience in classroom music instruction required. A degree in music and/or education is a strong plus. Pay is currently $27.50/hr, and the job starts in late September. Position is eligible for paid sick time under the City rules.

Suzuki Violin Instructor
Description: The Community Music Center is seeking a qualified Suzuki violin instructor. The position is part-time, hours and days vary depending on employee's schedule and program hours, and subject to enrollment. May include leading a group class. Training and experience in Suzuki Violin School required. A degree in music and/or education is a strong plus. Pay is currently $27.50/hr, and the job starts in late September. Possition is eligible for paid sick time under the City rules.
